I’m a bit old-fashioned and I think a handshake is still a powerful thing,” Brandon says when I ask him about his best life lesson.

Born and raised in Kelowna, Brandon is a third generation homebuilder/developer in the Okanagan but it took him a while to get around.

“While working in construction was rewarding in my teens, I felt the need to further my education and so I completed a computer engineering degree and shortly thereafter a commercial helicopter pilot license. However, the grounding and rewarding nature of building kept calling me back.”

And what excites Brandon about his work?

“Progress. One of the biggest things that drives me is looking at my progress every day and being proud of what I’ve achieved.”

Outside of work, Brandon is passionate about aviation and the outdoors.

“I’ve always had a love of the outdoors, whether it’s hunting, fishing or camping. I was fortunate to fly commercial helicopters in northern BC and Alaska for three years and see pristine nature in all its glory.”

When it comes to style, Brandon describes his as “classic.”

“I’ve always felt comfortable in a classic, simple style. To me, anything that makes you confident and comfortable is good style. When a person has the confidence, they exude style.”

Era that inspires your style: 1960s or 2000s.

Favorite local restaurant: Bouchons Bistro.

Favorite Cocktail or Wine: Crown Royal and Coke.

Favorite city to visit: Las Vegas.

Favorite hotel: Golden Nugget, Las Vegas.

Favorite app: Spotify.

Favorite place on earth: Playa La Ropa in Zihuatanejo, Mexico.

Uniform: The best uniform I was allowed to wear was a pilot’s suit. Fireproof Nomex flight suit in green.

Favorite denim, brand and cut: Levi’s 502.

Current Favorite Garment: True Classic Shirts, Levi’s 502 Dark Denim.

Favorite shoe: Danner leather boots in brown.

Favorite tool: Stiletto TB3 Titanium Hammer.

Sunglasses: Ray Ban Aviator.
