Rickey, 54, said in July 2020 that his youngest daughter Aaryn was allegedly shot dead in a traffic incident. Rickey described how he was desperate for direct flights to Houston but was unable to do so due to travel restrictions imposed by the coronavirus pandemic. Instead, he intended to drive to Dallas and then board another flight.
He then told his co-hosts, “She’s crying, she’s scared, and I can’t reach her.”
Rickey posted pictures of Aaryn to Facebook after the performance and explained that she was “still in surgery” before asking for “prayers and support.”
