Justin Baldoni has been revealed as the director, producer and star of the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling book It Ends With Us.
The creative multi-talent plays Ryle, a neurosurgeon with a no-dating rule, alongside Blake Lively, who plays Lily, a college grad who moves to Boston hoping to open her own flower shop there.
After the great success of the book, Baldoni’s production company Wayfarer selected the novel for an adaptation in 2019.
But just recently, author Colleen Hoover announced that he would be in it, too.
Taking to Instagram to share her excitement at Baldoni playing Ryle, Hoover said, “When I first met Justin Baldoni, who is directing the film for us, I immediately wanted him to play Ryle.
“I just thought he had what it took to play that character. And the good news is; he will be Ryle.”

Who is Justin Baldoni?
Justin Baldoni, 39, is an actor, producer and director from Los Angeles, California.
He was raised in Oregon by his Jewish mother and Italian father, who later followed the Baha’i faith, a religion founded in the 19th century that focuses on the value of all religions and people.
Baldoni began his acting career after suffering a hamstring injury that stood in the way of his dreams of becoming an athlete.
He appeared in a number of TV shows and films before founding production company Wayfarer in 2019.
Aside from pursuing creative projects, Wayfarer has a philanthropic brand called the Wayfarer Foundation that helps homeless people in Los Angeles.
What TV shows and movies has he been in so far?
Baldoni’s career began when he landed the role of Ben on the television series The Young and the Restless in 2004.
He continued his television career by booking other jobs including a role in an episode on Charmed, Reid Bardem on Everwood and appearances on CSI: Miami, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and Heroes.

However, his big break came when he landed the role of Rafael Solano opposite Gina Rodriguez in Jane the Virgin, which ran for five seasons between 2014 and 2019.
During this time, he began taking on producing and directing roles.
Notably, he produced and directed the TV series My Last Days and the films Five Feet Apart and Clouds.
Who is Justin Baldoni married to?
Justin Baldoni is married to Swedish actress Emily Baldoni, with whom he has two children.
She is best known for her starring role in the film Coherence and her appearances in her husband’s projects Five Feet Apart, Jane the Virgin and Clouds.
The couple tied the knot in July 2013 and their children are named Maiya and Maxwell.
