Brayden Stumpf and Patrick Cole each scored twice, and the Stratford Hunter Steel Warriors ended a two-game slip with a 5-2 win over the Brantford Bandits on Friday.

Stumpf opened the scoring to 3:06 in the first half ahead of 751 at Allman Arena. He buried the winner less than nine minutes later.
Cole added an assist for a three-point night. He has 21 goals and 37 points in 28 games since joining the club earlier this season.
Cam Daigle had a goal and an assist as 11 Stratford players had at least a point. Zack Burleigh, making his first start since Dec. 17, stopped 14 shots for the win.
Matvey Shalnev and Gavin McAfee-Rankine answered for the Bandits, who have lost 29 straight. Dylan Dewatcher made 49 saves.
Brantford was 1-for-4 on the power play and Stratford went 0-for-2.
The Warriors (31-8-0) have ousted Kitchener-Waterloo for first place in the GOJHL’s Midwestern Conference and meet the Siskins away Sunday afternoon.

A four-goal third quarter propelled the St. Marys Lincolns to a 6-5 comeback win over Chatham at the Pyramid Recreation Center on Friday night.
Jaden Lee scored twice for the Lincs (28-10-3), who were down 5-2 in the final frame. Nathan Small had one goal and two assists, while Adam Barkley, Cole Schnittker and Jacob Chantler all had one goal and one assist. Chantler’s 11:58 power play record in the third period was the winner.
Ethan Lamoureux added three helpers and Matteo Lalama made 40 saves.
Nate Dowling, Rorey Elson, Connor Dvorak, Brayden Degelas and Julien Gervais scored for the Maroons.
St. Marys was 2-for-5 with man advantage, killing four of five Chatham power plays.

Listowel opened a home-and-home game against Caledon in a 6-2 win at the Steve Kerr Memorial Complex on Friday.

Tate Vader, Jack O’Donnell and Cory Jewitt all had a goal and an assist on the power play for the Cyclones (17-19-2). Alex McGillivray and Ben MacRobbie also scored. Patrick Brown contributed with two helpers.
Carter McDougall stopped 29 shots for the win.
Gary Grahn and Liam King scored on the power play for the Bombers. Matthew Czalij saved 44 shots.

Ryan Suljak and Tyler Brezynskie scored third-half goals for Tavistock in a 6-2 loss at New Hamburg on Friday night.
Jeff Kernichan started at the net and was pulled midway through the second half after allowing four goals with 19 shots. James Hopper made 15 saves in relief. The Braves fell to 16-3-2-2.
Antonio Pasqualino, Jesse Schill, Eric Vander Eyk, Adam Barr, Cole Stannix and Jack Nell scored for the Firebirds, who lead the PJHL’s Doherty Division. Blake Richard stopped 42 shots.
New Hamburg was 2-for-5 on the power play and Tavistock went 1-for-4.
