Operational Update Regarding Noble Regina Allen
SUGAR LAND, Texas, December 16, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — To Thursday 15.12th the jackup rig Noble Regina Allen had a mechanical problem as it prepared to move away from its location about 26 miles offshore Trinidad.
A technical error in the hoisting gear appeared to have caused damage to the O-leg struts and joints, preventing the rig from fully retracting one of its legs. With the leg’s structural integrity compromised, all rig personnel were evacuated after watertight integrity was confirmed.
The rig completed all drilling before the event occurred and the well is safe. Noble is working closely with our customer and local authorities in response to the incident.
