US Senator Marco Rubio asks Pfizer CEO Bourla if they are really trying to make Covid virus more potent, to make and sell more vaccines
Hours after conservative group Project Veritas released a secret operation in which Pfizer CEO Jordan Walker was heard claiming that the pharmaceutical company was “mutating” strains of the Covid-19 virus, US Senator (Florida) Marco Rubio wrote a sharp letter to Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla.
In a letter Thursday (January 26), Rubio said: “An investigative report suggests that Pfizer may be conducting gain-of-function research, which it calls “directed evolution research,” to mutate the SARS-CoV-2 virus to produce additional generate , stronger variants and vaccines to combat future variants.”
“This type of research, similar to gain-of-function research, has long been controversial and suspected of being at the root of the COVID-19 pandemic,” he said.

Senator Marco Rubio said, “Whether it’s gain through functional research or selected structural mutations through directed evolution, as Mr. Walker claimed, any attempt to make a virus more transmissible and deadly is careless and dangerous.”
“Additionally, Mr. Walker stated that Pfizer is willing to engage in this dangerous research as COVID and its variants are a ‘cash cow’ for the company and regulators will spare their efforts as a significant percentage of government officials aim to working for Pfizer and other biopharmaceutical companies and don’t want to jeopardize their future job prospects,” he questioned.

To hold Pfizer accountable for its actions and to promote transparency, Rubio asked the pharmaceutical company 6 critical questions. They are as follows:
1. What efforts is Pfizer currently making or planning to mutate the SARS-CoV-2 virus?
2. Does Pfizer intend to continue mutating the SARS-CoV-2 virus through gain-of-function or directed evolution research to develop new vaccines before the variant is present in the general population?
3. Has Pfizer worked with federal officials regarding their plans to oversee this research? Please provide the names and agencies of these individuals.
4. What steps has Pfizer taken to ensure that the mutant virus does not escape from the lab and infect the larger population?
5. Has Pfizer partnered with other biopharmaceutical companies to collaborate on this research effort? Please list the institutions you have been in contact with.
6. Will you commit to halting future research mutating the SARS-CoV-2 vaccine as substantial evidence suggests similarly dangerous research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology is very likely to lead to the first emergence and global spread of the virus to have?
Jordan Walker and Project Veritas conduct a covert operation
Project Veritas, a conservative group known for undercover stories, had set up a date with Pfizer CEO Jordan Walker and asked him about the vaccine the pharmaceutical company was developing. The video was released on January 26, 2023.
Unaware that he was being recorded the entire time, Jordan Walker made damning revelations about the work done by Pfizer and the lack of ethical controls and balances within the company.
He casually said that Pfizer was considering mutating the Covid-19 virus to develop a new version of the vaccines. “You have to be very controlled to make sure that this virus that you mutate doesn’t create anything that just goes everywhere,” Pfizer’s director said.

He also accepted that the pandemic has been a “money cow” for Pfizer and will remain so in the coming days. “Yes, it would be perfect,” Walker said of the idea that the pharmaceutical company could make money from new Covid-19 vaccines.
Jordan Walker also said that Pfizer was a “revolving door” for government employees in charge of drug review and how they would later join the same pharmaceutical company.
“Because if the regulators that review our drugs, you know that once they’re not regulators, they want to work for the company … they’re not going to be hard on the company they get their job at,” he added .
It is worth noting here that there has been a considerable amount of detail in recent months pointing to the possibility that the Covid-19 pandemic was the result of a “laboratory leak” from the BSL4 research facility at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China, where a number of scientists, funded by the US Ecohealth Alliance, have been involved in gain-of-function research into the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
